Doug Yergens, 89, longtime resident of Blanchard ID died December 12, 2024 at home. He was surrounded by his wife June and three daughters, Carmen, Marianne and Vickie.

He was Born on 10/8/35 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Frank & Katherine Yergens.

Survived by his wife of 69 years, June. 3 daughters Carmen (Steve) Lorenz, Marianne (John) Simonson, Vickie (Mike) Jennings. Brother Steve (Charlotte) Yergens. 11 Grandchildren, 31 Great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews and a few adoptees.

Preceded in death by his parents, younger brother Robert and sister Valerie Smith.

Doug and his family worked for years running a successful Dairy Farm, growing & harvesting hay in Blanchard. They were the top Dairy Farmers in Bonner County for several years.

Doug loved June, his girls and his farm. His interests included dairy cows, horses, wildlife, flying his powered parachute, riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, and operating John Deere Tractors. He was a talented artist.

He is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held January 11, 2025 at 11am, Blanchard Community Church. Reception following at the Blanchard Grange.
